The New Look at the Ball Caps

In response to several requests for information through social media channels, attached is a mock up of what the recently approved official alternative cap will look like. It will have all the essential components of the official overseas cap, and the color of the sandwich bill will denote the type of unit (Post-Yellow, District-Green, Department-Red, National-Silver/Grey). We are currently considering options for a unique identifier to help prevent pirating.

A couple pieces of information to share with your Department. First, don’t expect to see these on the VFW Store site for purchase until beginning of December at the earliest. Delivery to the consumer will be four to six weeks from order. The only title options will be what’s available on the item drop down. It’s difficult enough to get some specialized titles on the overseas caps and there is even less space for that on these ball caps.
